Much of the equipment in our loan centers has been donated by our very generous ALS families. If you are interested in donating durable medical equipment or wish to provide a monetary donation to the ALS equipment fund, please notify your Care Services Coordinator. The funds received are used to purchase new equipment that is in high demand.
Please note these items generally are not accepted for donation (up to the discretion of your Care Services Coordinator):
- Hospital beds
- Lift chairs
- Power wheelchairs not in working order or older than 3 years
- Used bedside commodes & raised commode seats
- Feeding tube formula & supplies
- Incontinence products
- Respiratory supplies
- Shower chairs or benches
- Mattress pads
- Overbed tables

Sharing Items to Others with ALS
If you have equipment that you would like to provide for free to others living with ALS, we can include this in our weekly Free Fridays email group. Click here if you would like to join this email list.
Please contact Sage via email with a short description of the item, any photos of it, and a contact number or email we can publish. We will edit your description and include all necessary information in the email or newsletter.
If you are interested in selling larger value items such as accessible vehicles, please contact our Care Services Administrative Assistant, Lois Dabaie at LDabaie@ALSohio.org or (866)273-2572 x106. Lois will list for-sale items in the following Chapter Newsletter. Please do not send photos for the newsletter, rather provide contact information for buyers.
